My Experience being a pupil at Thomasson Memorial School was accepting, open minded and so helpful.

Thomasson Memorial School has taught me to be strong, well learned and independent. The teachers are absolutely wonderful understanding people and I do not know where I would be today without them. One thing I always remember about Thomasson Memorial School is the school plays. The amount of effort and time it went into made me and the other pupils feel really good about themselves and we had a right ball.

Today, I am the only deaf beauty specialist working in Boots, helping people to find their makeup, skin care products and doing beautiful makeovers on them and to make them feel amazing.

A huge thank you to Thomasson Memorial

My time in Thomasson Memorial School was very short. I have arrived when I was just year 5. These 2 years at Thomasson Memorial  School had been so good to me. I had really good time and memories. I wont be where I am if I didn’t attend Thomasson Memorial School.

My first job was at Crystal Doors, and I had worked there for 5 years and now I work in Lancashire Meat Market. I just want to say a huge thank you to Thomasson Memorial School.

I had lots of fun time at Thomasson Memorial School growing up, we went to lots of  exciting trips. I remember going to London for the day on a train. Lets not forget about the summer plays! Then my first holiday away from my mum, brothers and sisters to Waddow Hall which was great. Spending time doing lots of activities with my friends and learning how to cook.

Fast forward 16 years, I now work full time as a health care assistant. I went to Salford  university to study nursing but still half way through training.

I’m forever grateful as Thomasson Memorial School taught me how to talk and speak really well as I couldn’t talk before I started in nursery. I wouldn’t be where I am without Thomasson Memorial School.

One thing I can remember about Thomasson Memorial School is when I first came to visit     Thomasson Memorial School to look around with my parents. I can remember feeling so amazed, that I’ve finally met lots of different children who is also deaf like me. and got cochlear implants like I have! I can remember my heart felt so full of love because it was so perfect. Finally somewhere where I can communicate and just being me!

Thomasson Memorial School have changed my life for good. It was a place where I can understand and everything just went by so smoothly. Thomasson Memorial School is really fantastic school

All the staff at Thomasson Memorial School are so amazing. They all signed and it was so lovely. I was in SSE classes and I really enjoyed it and signing with my friends and teachers.

I was really gutted when I left Thomasson Memorial School when I was in year 6. I really had  struggled at my secondary School , It wasn’t like Thomasson Memorial School

I have travelled to lots of different places in the world. I love to travel and seeing new things.

I now work as Support worker for deaf Adult who is in the unit.
